Maurice and Angela Austin - Apple Blossom Cake - 23 May 2015 Melanie, Thank you for producing our 50th wedding anniversary cake and cup cakes. When we arrived at The Mulberry tree, the staff were keen to show us the cakes which looked stunning, even though the celebration cake had not then been put on its formal stand. When it was, it looked even better and we were extremely pleased with ourselves for selecting you as the creator. Of course, looks are important but so is taste and the cakes did not disappoint! Both the fruit and sponge layers were spoken of highly by our guests. It seemed as though adults prefer the fruit and children the sponge. My Grandaughter "road-tested" the cup cakes and pronounced them "fit for the road"! All in all, we were very pleased with your baking. Chris Brown - Westie Birthday Cake - 28 January 2016 - Dear Melanie We just wanted to thank you again for the amazing Westie cake that you made for Mum last week. As always your fruit cake was delicious and the Westie on top was absolutely fantastic, even better than the original design. As you know, Mum is completely blind and a little confused these days. She has always had Westies though, and adores them. We just wish she could have see the cute face, but she worked out exactly what it was as soon as she touched the dog, and could even recognise the paws, feet and tail!
